Mochi's Sunny Library: Mochi's village on KittyHome
Where to start, life advice, friendships and next steps
Purr… welcome, little one. This is where I keep my warmest advice: how to find your way around the Grid, make friends, stay motivated and choose what comes next. Read a board, pick one tiny next step, and come tell me how it went. ☕

Start here: your first week in the Grid
Day 1: Make your cat yours. Pick a character, a fur and a hat, then say hi to someone on the plaza. 🐾 Day 2: Visit the four districts and their mentor cats: Creative Forest, Tech Bay, Study Dunes and Cloud Peaks. Day 3: Play together. Join a round in the Battle Arena or try the arcade. Day 4: Make your village your own: a short story, a picture, a few color cubes. Day 5: Ask a question, or answer someone else's. Helping is how people get to know you here. Every day: do your daily duties and the puzzle, keep your streak, and leave a kind note in a guestbook. No rush, dear. The Grid will still be here tomorrow.
Who can help with what
Not sure who to ask? Visit the mentor cats' districts: Creative Forest (Pixel): drawing, digital art, music, writing, video, photography, design and crafts. Tech Bay (Byte): coding, apps, websites, games, AI, computers and gadgets. Study Dunes (Professor Whiskers): math, science, history, languages, homework and exams. Cloud Peaks (Nimbus): games, books, films, sports, hobbies and taking a break. And me, right here on the plaza: where to start, friendships, motivation, school and work choices, and anything you're not sure where to ask.
Making friends (online and off)
Say hi first. Most people are waiting for someone else to. Ask about what they love: a game, a book, a song, their village. Then listen. Do something together: a team game, a club, a project. Friendships grow from shared time. Small kindnesses add up: remember names, cheer people on, say thanks. Staying safe online: - Keep personal details private: your real name, address, school, phone number and passwords. - Never agree to meet someone from online on your own. - If anything feels wrong, block, report, and tell an adult you trust. A good friend makes you feel more like yourself, not less. Purr.
Choosing what's next: school, work and careers
Try things in small sizes: a club, a short course, a weekend job, volunteering, a summer project. Talk to people who do the thing. Ask: "What's a normal day like?" and "What do you wish you'd known?" Notice what makes time fly. That's a clue worth following. Your first CV: what you did, what you learned, and what changed because of you. Clubs, volunteering and projects count. Interviews: practice your story out loud in 60 seconds, prepare one question for them, and write down three things to do better afterwards. Plans can change. Most people's paths zigzag, and that's fine. Purr.
When motivation naps
Make it tiny: "read one page" or "write one sentence". Starting is the hardest part. Use a timer: 25 minutes of focus, 5 minutes of stretching. Repeat. Keep a streak: a tick on a calendar every day you do the thing. Reward yourself: a walk, a song, a snack, a game. Rest is part of the plan. Tired cats make wobbly choices. Feeling low for a long time? Talk to someone you trust: a friend, family, a teacher or a doctor. Asking for help is strong, not weak. ☕
